Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving 🙂
I’m taking the time now to let people know I’m still alive, since it has been relatively long time since my last post. The reason is I ran out of things to program for the moment; I need real art assets, which take quite awhile to do for 2D animation. I will be finishing this up as soon as I can so please bear with me… I need at least the base animations to keep working on the programming to make their timing work with the combat actions I’ve already implemented lol.
Things to do for coding:
- Menus. There isn’t a whole lot of equipment planned for the game, but it’s there. Also there will be status attributes, so I need a way to show these.
- Have to design special fx and color flashes for both Arashi and enemies taking damage. Blue for parry, red for taking damage, that sort of thing.
- Adding the dialogue windows and usecode to make them appear.
Really not a whole lot left lol, so level design and art are the bottlenecks at the moment.
Hmm what about the title screen design, have you worked on that yet? Also, what type of intro do you plan on having, I think you should play the narrator if you plan on having one.
Sorry for the late reply, no I haven’t begun the storyboarding for the title screen yet. I’m not 100% sure on the logo or anything at this point ;( I should really start hammering it out, but honestly I think my artistic ability is going to hurt the project more than help it… I’m just too slow lol. I really do need to hire someone to help me out. At least I can do the planning but the final product, well I’ll see what I can find on craigslist.
As for the narration for the story, I didn’t think about it, but yeah I think I should definitely be the main voice XD
