This weekend, I added yet another element to the engine, which is more a special effect than anything: time distortions. This is a fancy term for the “bullet time”-like effect when things slow down (but not the framerate) or – if I wanted to – speed up. Just another element I can use with my usecode scripting language. It can also exclude specific actors or projectiles if a specific animation needs to run in real time while the rest of the world slows down (or pauses).
