A little downtime

I need to actually take some time to sleep more than 5 hours, so I haven’t been working as hardcore on the game the last two days as I was this weekend.  However, I did add damage numbers as promised along with the text routine… which means now I can have dialogue!

There’s still a few little quirks to work out, my favorite is if you swing at the spot where an enemy dies, it reappears (dead) briefly and takes damage.  It doesn’t affect gameplay at all, it’s just a graphical glitch.

My next project is adding some more commands other than “Attack” to the controller. so I can start adding exploration code (including dialogue boxes).
