Anticipation

The new and hopefully final website is around the corner.  Shadowdawn Genesis never quite got the attention that my main project Shadowdawn did as far as websites go, but no longer.  Sure, it’s taken a few days out of my actual game production schedule, but when you’re working around the clock alone on a game of this magnitude, you also have to remember you are the sole marketing department as well.  Since I want to really draw attention to the site in about 4 weeks, I want to at least get the site’s framework in place and fill in the content as best as I can until then so people have a lot of fun stuff to read.

The other advantage to working on the site is the fact it forced me to prioritize stuff I’ve been putting off for the actual game.  Arashi’s primary antagonist has been one of the things I’ve been most anxious to design, since this design has to stand out in the same way Arashi’s did, and it took me… oh about 12 years to figure out Arashi.  But luckily after really sitting down and sketching it out, well, to avoid spoilers, let’s just say I’m extremely happy with the result.

Expect the site to launch in the next two days.  I’m excited to see what everyone thinks of it.
